Just when we thought all was lost, the path opened up, not what we hoped for but......
We have been renting for 39 years, we have been trying to buy the building, we thought they were finally going to sell to us, but we were deceived! 

It was devastating. The lease was up.
What were we to do? Fold our tents? Go quietly into the night?

NO! It was not to be.

The staff stepped up to take on larger roles in helping run the two businesses. It was much needed and the only way we could move forward.

So, we are trying for Landmark status to ensconce the building in protection from high rolling developers. This currently ongoing process has been started with the help of Keith B. and dedicated preservationists, but it will take a while. 

However, the landlords granted us a lease, (higher) for now. So here we are, working, laughing, cooking, slinging cocktails, appreciating all the joys and wonders of our community of friends, patrons and fellow workers. (not to mention record rainfall!)

We appreciate the patience of our staff, who faithfully worked and continue to work into the unknown; you, the loyal, caring customers; and every day we have together.
